Strange problem with Leopard, Boot Camp, and Active Directory

Asked by CIA-Mike in Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard), Mac OS X

We discovered an interesting bug with Leopard this week, the start of classes. We have a lab full of Intel iMacs, new ones, that are configured with Leopard and Windows XP using Boot Camp. Both sides are bound to a Server 2008 AD infrastructure without and problems. The problem we discovered is when a user logs into AD on the Mac, reboots to Windows and logs into AD, and then boots back to Mac. The final logon, into AD on the Mac is rejected, and the user is unable to logon. We figured out that the situation resolves itself after a period of time, but that's all we can come up with.

I believe that this is problem is Leopard related, but have no idea where to start.
