Oracle 10x Server and Oracle 10 client

When I have just Oracle 10 Server installed I'm able to execute imp command to import my database.  I wanted to add Oracle 10 Client so I can use some of the tools with client, but when I load the client software it does something that causes my password and userId not to be accepted when I use the IMP command to import my database.  

If I remove the client the IMP password and user id work again.  Any idea what's causing this problem?Start Free Trial
