Bioshock made me ruin my new computer... Please help!

Ok heres the deal, that evil game bioshock. I was trying to run the demo and it just kept crashing just after the load image before I even got to the menu. CS:S was running fine so it must be the game i thought...

Anyway i ran around some forums and found the recommended hotfixes on the nvidia website, did them with no issue. The game still didn't run. I then found that I may need to get the latest forceware driver - 163 whatever it was. The hints told me to turn of the firewall and uninstall nvidia from add/remove programs. I did, woohoo i thought nearly fixed, but no. I tried to run the forceware driver and it would not install! I got this screen:

Dam it! Whats going on! Now none of my games run sad.gif I only got this laptop yesturday it is high spec, runs vista home premium, Geforce 8600m GT, Duel core. It should be dominating bioshock but its falling at the first hurdle...
