ICMP Error in IPSEC

Asked by NC_Bonehead in Virtual Private Networking (VPN), IPSec Security Protocol, Cisco PIX Firewall

I have created a vpn tunnel from my network to a remote network.  The tunnel comes up but when I try to do a ping test to the remote side I am getting a Deny icmp src inside x.x.x.x  dst x.x.x.x  (type 8 code 0).  I have added same-security for intra and inter.  I am at a lost. I forgot to mention that I am running a cisco ASA using ESP-3Des-sha.
