Reset Open Firmware password

Asked by ipeng in Computer Servers, Sun Solaris, Unix Setup

Hello,
I am trying to re-use a Sun V100 and need to install a newOS, since I do not have root access.  However, I cannot get the box to boot up because there is a firmware password, which I do not know.

I've tried "bootmode reset_nvram" from the lom prompt (the only prompt I can get), but it says "Note: set-defaults does not change the security fields."
