Hi -
I have been trying to set up a wireless network in my home. I have sucessfully connected to the network and everything appears to be working fine. However, any time my laptop goes to sleep or turns off, and i double click on the windows wireless connection icon, then click on "View available wireless networks" to connect to the internet i get the following error message:
"Windows can not configure this wireless connection.
If you have enabled another program to configure this wireless connection use that software."
At this point i can go into "Change advanced settings" click on "Wireless Networks" and check the box "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings"
Once I do that I can get back on the internet. However these changes are not permanent as i continually have to go through these steps.
I am using an IBM thinkpad T60, and it keeps trying to have me use their "Thinkvantage Acceess Connections software" to connect to the internet. However, for some reason the wireless network that I have set up, ONLY works through windows, not through ThinkVantage.
Could someone help me disable thinkvantage so i can use microsoft windows exclusively?
Thanks so much.
