How to convert an OFX / QFX / QIF file to CSV or tab-delimited?

Asked by digilocity in Microsoft Money, Quicken Financial Software

Tags: , ,

I need to download a transaction list from my bank for use with Excel 2007.

Amazingly, HSBC supports only the Microsoft Money (OFX) and Quicken (QFX, QIF) formats, all of which are incompatible with most general purpose analysis or database software (Excel, Access, etc).

Is anyone aware of a method or software to convert an OFX / QFX / QIF file to a CSV or tab-delimited text format?

Please note that I do not own Microsoft Money or Quicken, and have no desire to install either.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Stephen
