Hi, I have been using Entourage on my Macbook Pro for a couple of months now, and have had no problems at all with the email client. I have 2 email accounts set up IDENTICALLY for 2 AOL screennames. Suddenly yesterday, one of the accounts stopped SENDING mail (it receives mail ok), giving me an error:
TRANSACTION FAILED - MAIL COULD NOT BE SENT - ERROR 17099.
I have tried deleting the entourage mail account, and rebuilding and configuring the account, but no luck.
I have tried using MAC Mail client, and it also does not SEND. However, I have tried using the AOL email client itself, and it works fine: sends AND receives just fine.
I have tried rebooting the mac a gazillion times.
I have tried 2 different isp's (at home & at work). Neither work.
I have checked the settings repeatedly (yes, they are identical to its' sister account), including the port set at 587, but for some reason this entourage account is just not working. I have even tried opening the WORKING account, resetting the account name and password to the non-working account's settings. It still does not work.
I have tried deleting the AOL Screenname account, then re-instating it. Had no effect.
I am now bald from pulling my hair out... HELP! (ok, I was bald before....) I would appreciate any possible solutions. Anyone that can help me with this, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks!
