Background: Symantec Ghost 2.5 was installed on a Windows Server 2003 machine, ran live update to build 2141, I set up my tasks to take an image, ran the task and was informed the image creation task had failed due to a SATA controller driver not being loaded into the PreOS WinPE. I opened up the Ghost boot wizard and tried to add the correct driver, I recieved a runtime error and the program crashed. Based on some other advice I decided to edit the pci.manifest.txt so it would no longer look for this driver.
After that the image creation was successful
Problems:
The console seems to work fine, but I am having a lot of trouble with Ghost Boot Wizard.
-If I try to refresh WinPE I recieve and empty error message
-If I try to select all available drivers for WinPe I recieve an empty error message
-If I try to load an external driver I recieve a runtime error resulting in a program crash
-If I try to create a WinPE boot disk I recieve a runtime error resulting in a program crash
-If I try to create a PCDOS boot disk I recieve a runtime error
I have also tried installing Ghost 2.5 on my local vpc with the same results
