Automation of file transfer within several SBS servers

Hi Folks, just need a bit of help here.

Scenrio: we have several businesses have two or more branches. each branch has a small business server (2003). Some smaller sites have just an XP PRO workstation.

What the aim is, is each night, every server onsite has a scheduled task of zipping a directory and placing the zipped file in a folder on the root.

At 8pm each night, Symantec PC anyware will log into each server and pull back this zipped folder.

Once all the Zipped folders from the servers are on the main server, each folder is unzipped to a separate folder using scheduled tasks and .bat files (pkutils)

The software will read each directory the following morning with updates data from each site As you can now see, we are wanting to synchronise data on a nightly basis so each server will update to the main server as it will read from the newly unzipped directories.

At the moment we are using the command queues in Symantec Pc Anyware to automate this process. This system is unreliable and I was wondering if there is any software out there, free or to be paid for, that can automate the transfer of these files reliably and securely.

Does anyone know anything that can help us out?
