The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

How to configure RAID1 on NAS for XP?

Asked by Freshcafe in Operating Systems Miscellaneous, Hard Drives & Storage, Networking Hardware

Tags: , , ,

I seem to get only 1 or maybe two experts answering my questions - probably putting them in the wrong zones - So I'm trying again in zones that have lots of participants.

I previously asked here:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Storage/Storage_Technology/Q_23690314.html

The NAS I looked up can do RAID1 as needed but the File format/partition config seem to defy RAID1 for Windows. Does RAID1 have to be done in LINUX or is it just this box or am I reading it wrong which means I just continue as planned? If it is possible with this - which File format would I set the partition/format to to have RAID1 (EXT?)?

The manual for the box I found is here:
http://www.raidsonic.de/de/data/data_pdf/handbuch-nas4220/Manual_IB-NAS4220-B_ENG.pdf

Attention to pages 20-22 drew my concern, days or weeks go bye with no replies for previous questions though the average answer apparently is withing 45 minutes - PLease help before supply of this item goes away like the N299 I sourced before. 1 available till the end of today.Start Free Trial
