installing SATA drivers after installing windows XP

i have a HP nc6400 notebook. i disabled SATA native mode in the bios and was able to get my machine up and running with XP pro. ( it is doing ide emulation)

when i go into the bios and enable my SATA it blue screens.

is there anyway i can install SATA drivers on my machine so that it will work irrespective of SATA being enabled or disabled. ( i want to install SATA drivers while i am logged into my machine)

where can i find an executable for this?

i went to HP.com but the softpaq they have SP32478 gives me a floppy image.i do not have a floppy drive.
is there anywat i can install this without using  afloppy.
