The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Google Search Engine

Asked by ExpExchHelp in Internet Search Engine Optimization, Miscellaneous Web Development, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)

About 3 to 4 weeks ago, I've used Google's "Add URL" site to publish my new website.

Having viewed my Google account (Webmaster Tools) regularly throughout the past month, here's a brief summary of the Google "status timeline" that have occurred:

a. Site was immediately verified... Google provided "verify tag" which was included on all pages -- GOOD
b. Up until the ~ 3rd week (after posting site), Google consistenly showed "no pages have been indexed" -- BAD
b. In the 3rd week, the webmaster tools listed one (1) URL that could NOT be found.   I fixed that error the same day. -- BAD
- Also, during the 3rd week, Google indicated that "pages have been indexed" -- GOOD
- In the 4th week (this week), Google listed two (2) pages in the "Content Analysis" indicating that they had duplicate title tags... which was true.    I fixed that problem (two days ago) and made all title tags & keywords unique to each page. -- BAD
- Although I fixed the title tag duplication issue, new pages are being listed (as of today) still referring to the duplicate title tag error... which should no longer be the case. -- BAD

Summary:
- The missing hyperlink error has NOT disappeared (in Google's webmaster tool page) even though it's been more than 2 weeks since I fixed the problem
- The duplicate title tags were fixed 2 days ago; however, new pages (indicating duplicates title tag errors) are added to the Content Analysis page -- even those are are non-existing as of 06/27.

My questions:
1. It appears that Google's web crawler does NOT necessarily re-check if errors have been fixed.   Would it make any difference if I totally REMOVE my URL and then republish it again?
2. While it might take another 2 to 3 weeks before pages would be re-indexed, I at least would be "error-free", right?
3. Would Google prevent me from re-publishing the same URL once it has been removed?

Thank you!
