The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Can't get proper page length when using Layout View.

I am new to Dreamweaver so please bear with my ignorance.  Anyway, I am trying to create my first (index) page.  The book I am using recommends laying out the basic format of the page with tables by using the Layout View with the Draw Layout Table and Draw Layout Cell icons.  Apparently, you cannot add a layout table or cell if you have anything already on the page including line feeds and paragraph returns (achieved by pressing the ENTER key).  My problem is that the default page length as provided by the document window is NOT LONG ENOUGH for the page I want to design.  The only way I know to make the page longer is to press the ENTER key when I come to the bottom of the page, which then enlongates the page and puts a scrolling bar to the side.  If I do this however, then I cannot use the Draw Layout Table and Cells icons, I just get a circle with a line through it as the line feeds count as something on the page and thus the Layout View tools won't work.

If I attempt to put in the all the tables first, when I come to the bottom of the document window, it will not let me extend beyond that to make the page longer (and either put in more tables or make the one(s) at the bottom the document window extend beyond the limit of the document window's size.).

I'm sure there is a way around this but right now, I am stuck and waiting for someone in the know to provide clarity on this simple issue.  I need to get this done soon so I am categorizing it as urgent.  Thanks in advance.
