Placing Cookie- same Affiliate site pulls up if revisited within a period of time

Hello experts,

I have a site that is set up so that affiliates can drive traffic to it and get their own credit.

What I'm looking for is if affiliate A drives a customer to the site but does not buy, then affiliate B drives a customer to the site a few days later, I'd still like affiliate A to get the credit for the sale.

The syntax that I currently have in place is:

https://stores.company.com/StoreFront.bok?affiliate_no=100

How can I create a cookie that will correspond to the affiliate number and bring an individual back to the site affiliate number.... for a period of time equal to 15 days?  My site is basically all html, so the simpler is definitely better.  I really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!
