The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

PHP Captcha file and Javascript together

Hello Experts,
I am using the free Captcha SecurityImages.php file offered under GNU by http://www.white-hat-web-design.co.uk/articles/php-captcha.php.  The coding is very simple and I have no problems with the validation of the captcha images in php.  However I would like to combine it with javascript so that the user of the form will be informed of a mismatch through onBlur before submitting the form.  If I understand the code correctly the actual captcha code is stored in as a session variable titled security_code.  The php code is very simple for the comparison:  session security code equals posted securitx code else.

The code snippet is small:
<?php
session_start();

if( isset($_POST['submit'])) {
   if( $_SESSION['security_code'] == $_POST['security_code'] && !empty($_SESSION['security_code'] ) ) {
            // Insert you code for processing the form here, e.g emailing the submission, entering it into a database.
            echo 'Thank you. Your message said "'.$_POST['message'].'"';
            unset($_SESSION['security_code']);
   } else {
            // Insert your code for showing an error message here
            echo 'Sorry, you have provided an invalid security code';
   }
} else {
?>

I have intergrated it into a rather large and complicated validation, email, and mysql posting script that works perfectly, However I have had problems is getting a client side validation to work with this
validation. (i.e.) javascript.  I have tried to send the validation code to a hidden html input filed and that didn't work, I have tried to write a javascript function-I'm outta my league here- Does any one have an idea on how I can do this?  The attached Code snippets are example form from white-hat and the captcha generating program:
